Britian named it's first female - and openly gay - poet laureate today.
Carol Ann Duffy is now Britain's offical poet, a post that has been occupied since the 17th century and has been held by the likes of William Wordsworth and Alfred Lord Tennyson.
Sincere congrats to Ms Duffy. After 341 years of having male poet laureates, I say it's about bloody time they had a woman on the job!
